Idaho Extremism

How we work

Receipts first.

This site is the visible layer of nearly a decade of direct work documenting Idaho’s extreme-politics network. Every dossier and every report comes out of primary-source records, gets cross-checked against independent authoritative sources, and waits in the queue until the case is solid.

Most political research lives at one of two extremes. Opinion commentary with a few links, or paywalled databases that limit what can ever be made public. Neither documents a coordinated political network the way a prosecutor, a financial investigator, or an investigative journalist would. We built the work to do exactly that.

What goes on the page.

Every factual claim on this site ties back to a specific primary-source record. Campaign-finance filings, court dockets, recorded liens, sworn testimony, IRS filings, official biographies, voting records, contemporaneous journalism. If a claim cannot be anchored to a source the reader can check, it does not run.

What stays off the page.

The substrate behind the site is much larger than what readers see. Court records, financial filings, infrastructure fingerprints, and coordinated-messaging timelines that have not yet been corroborated to the publish standard sit in the working file. They surface to the public site as each subject is built out.

We do not publish the inner workings of how the research is assembled. The network we cover spends real money trying to evade accountability, and detailing the tradecraft would make their evasion easier. What matters for you as a reader is the output: receipts you can verify yourself, every claim sourced.

Corrections.

If we publish something wrong, we correct it in public. Corrections are date-stamped, shown on the relevant page with the original language preserved in strikethrough, and logged in a corrections register. We will never quietly edit a published claim.

Why this way.

Most political sites publish first and defend later. That is how you end up with corrections nobody reads and reputational damage that never quite gets undone. We inverted the order. Receipts up front. The reporting takes longer to build than a partisan blog. It holds up when it gets challenged.

The work is real, done by a real team with a real decade of subject-matter experience inside Idaho politics. Everything you read here is traceable to records we trust and would defend under oath.
